What are the LearnPad Tablets for Education?

The LearnPad provides a new and exciting way for children to interact, collaborate and learn through using a tablet computer.

The LearnPad also provides access to the widest range of eLearning content available including office documents, audio and video files, VLE content and Flash based activities and websites. Access content from a host of leading publishers including Educationcity.com, Sherston, Birchfield, Yellow Door, eChalk and others.
	Online Curriculum Content Store As well as the pre-installed applications, the LearnPad also has dedicated curriculum aligned content store with hundreds of additional activities covering all subject areas. You can use the content store to search by subject, topic, even key stage or age, to find the specific applications you need for your lesson. Once you’ve downloaded the content, it can be easily rolled out across multiple LearnPads using the central management portal.
Central Device Management & Configuration The LearnPad has a unique web based management portal that enables easy control of multiple LearnPads centrally. Schools can use the portal to create different LearnPad profile groups that define which settings, configuration and content is displayed to the users. The central device management portal has been specifically designed for use in a school environment so that delivery of new applications, across a fleet of LearnPads, is easy for network managers with varying levels of ICT experience.
